Aha, it is Amy Acker who will come to the third season! It was announced on Saturdays. Root is a talented assassin and cyber-hacker for hire who is intent on setting the Machine free. At the end of the season 2 of Person of Interest, the talented assassin and cyber-hacker, Root, was trying to find someone on setting Machine free. But her plan was thwarted by Finch and she was institutionalized.
Acker said something about her character that she think she is not mean but if people don't do what she tells them to, she gets upset.
